Adjustability is the point. The arms have a wire-core interior so you can shape the fit, and the nose pads are customizable to help you lock in a secure, comfortable feel without constant readjustments. Detour’s Surge line uses PC (polycarbonate) lenses, with lens material injected around the Hi-Fi (high contrast) filter to prevent layers from separating (which they note can be common in humid, high temperature locations or if sunglasses are stored in a car). An oleophobic lens coating helps make wiping smudges effortless and supports longer lens life, and a hydrophobic coating repels water to help keep your vision clear. A drawstring pouch is included to keep your shades protected and clean.

Fit Guide: Our Surge XL frame fits Large/XL faces best. Measurements shown: 157 mm (front width), 60 mm (lens height), 151 mm (nose pad to arm tip). Nose pad area is labeled adjustable. Detour notes XL sunglasses are roughly 8%–10% bigger than their average size and recommends XL if sunglasses normally feel tight or don’t cover all of your eye region.
