I stock what I use. Ding repair and rebuilds come through the shop constantly, so the resin and cloth on these shelves are the ones that have held up — not whatever came cheap by the pallet.

Common Questions
Boards run $725 to $1,295 depending on the model, size and construction. Resin tints, gloss coats and artwork add to that. The $200 deposit comes off your final price, and you get a firm number before anything gets cut.
Four to six weeks is the honest window, and plenty of boards come in ahead of that. What stretches it is finish work — complicated resin color, fabric inlays, printed graphics laminated under the glass. A gloss & polish finish can add a week alone. A clean white board moves quicker than one with art in it. You'll have a date before shaping starts, and I'll tell you if anything shifts.
No — and it's usually backwards. A really good surfer can make almost any board work. What they do have is the vocabulary to tell me exactly what they want the board to do, which makes dialing it in faster. If you're still fighting to catch waves, popping up late, or riding something a mate told you to buy, the board is probably working against you, and a custom fixes that faster than more time in the water. PU with polyester resin flexes more and feels more damped underfoot. EPS with epoxy is lighter, floatier and tougher, which helps in weak surf and on travel boards. Full breakdown in the PU vs EPS guide.
Yes — a good chunk of orders come from home shapers and repair guys rather than surfers. Polyester and epoxy resin, E-glass and basalt cloth, catalyst, sanding pads, squeegees, fillers and full ding repair kits. Cloth is sold by the yard, so you're not buying a 50-yard roll to glass one board — 4 oz E-glass starts at $3.48 a yard. I stock what I use myself. Browse the lot in shaping supplies.
Basalt fiber is spun from melted volcanic rock. It laminates much like fiberglass but damps vibration better, so the board feels smoother and less chattery underfoot, and it takes a knock without cracking as readily as E-glass. It also cures out a natural bronze color, so plenty of people run it with no pigment at all. Works with epoxy or polyester. We stock 4 oz basalt cloth in 38" width at $4.95 a yard, by the yard.
Yes, and it's a steady part of the work. Cracks, heel dents, snapped noses, delamination, full rebuilds.
