Brian Wright
Founder of One Revolver Surfboards | USCG Veteran | MK1 (Ret.)
Brian Wright is the founder and shaper behind One Revolver Surfboards, a veteran-owned custom surfboard brand serving Southern California surfers. His life has been shaped by the ocean — from cold-water Atlantic swells in Long Beach, New York, to lineups across Costa Rica, Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, Puerto Rico and Southern California.
The Story Behind One Revolver
Built from service, surf and hands-on craftsmanship.
After a 21-year career in the United States Coast Guard, Brian brought the same discipline, precision and problem-solving mindset into surfboard shaping.
That background gives One Revolver a different foundation: boards designed around real-world performance, durability and the way surfers actually ride.
Every custom board starts with a conversation — your waves, your ability, your style, and where you want your surfing to go next. You can also start with the Board Selector Quiz or the Volume Calculator, or read how the process works.
Why One Revolver Surfboards
Custom surfboards with purpose, not mass production.
One Revolver was built for surfers who want equipment that feels personal, performs with intention, and carries the story of the person riding it.
Custom fit
Model, dimensions, volume, rails, tail, fins, glassing and construction — all matched to the surfer, not an average.
Performance first
Every design is built around speed, control, paddle power, durability and the conditions it will actually be ridden in.
Veteran-owned
Built by a retired Coast Guard veteran with a deep respect for service, community and ocean culture. Service members, veterans and first responders can learn more about the Military & First Responder Program.
"The goal is simple: build surfboards that help people surf better, feel connected, and stay stoked."
Brian Wright, Founder
Craftsmanship & Glassing
Shaped with care. Glassed for strength.
Brian shapes in Costa Mesa and partners with Pure Glass for professional glassing, colour work and finishing — the same glassers used by shapers across Orange County.
That keeps every board rooted in hands-on craftsmanship while giving you a clean, durable, premium build that holds up to real surfing.
The Journey
From Long Beach to California shaping bays.
