Compatibility comes first
Futures uses a single-tab base. FCS and FCS II use different twin-tab or click-in bases. A fin from one system cannot be treated as compatible with the other.
Compatibility is locked first, setup is matched exactly, and then we rank the best live catalog options for your board, preferred feel, and rider size.
Futures and FCS bases are not interchangeable. This first choice is a hard compatibility filter, not a ranking preference.
Board type does not override your selected setup. It only helps rank exact setup matches for the shape you ride.
Setup matching is exact. A 5-fin set will never appear under Thruster, and a Twin + Trailer set will never appear under Twin.
Feel ranks products only after compatibility and exact setup have passed. It can change order, never eligibility.
More rider weight usually needs more fin area for dependable hold. Product pages with size variants let you choose the final size.

A true twin or keel set contains two main fins. Twin + Trailer adds a small stabilizer and changes the board's release and control, so the selector keeps them separate.
Mid-length 2+1 boards often use roughly 6-8.5 inch centers; longboards commonly use 8-10.5 inches. Board length, tail width, and surfing style still matter.
