Detour’s HiFi high-contrast lenses are designed to sharpen your surroundings, enhance colors, and define details, helping you stay focused on what is ahead. For added confidence during active use, Surge has ANSI Z87+ safety ratings and impact protection, and it is ANSI Z87+ certified.

The Surge line uses PC (polycarbonate) lenses, described as a huge upgrade over traditional TAC lenses, because the lens material is injected around the Hi-Fi (high contrast) filter. Detour notes this prevents layers from separating, which can be common in humid high temperature locations or if you store your sunglasses in your car.

To keep your lenses clearer with less effort, the oleophobic lens coating adds a barrier that makes wiping smudges effortless and helps extend the life of your lenses. The hydrophobic coating repels water, keeps your vision clear, and helps you avoid wiping lenses dry, again extending lens life. Sweat proof and oil proof coatings are included for everyday sport use.
