Every order is cut fresh from the roll in one continuous length, so you get a single uninterrupted piece with no seams or joins — not offcuts from someone else's board. Because each cut is made by hand to your order, we ask for a 4 yard minimum. Choose your length below:

How Much Fiberglass Do I Need?

At 30" wide, one layer runs roughly the length of your board plus about 6" for laps. A rough guide:

• Fish or hybrid (5'6"–6'4"): ~2 yd per layer. A 4+4 deck / 4 bottom glass job needs 6 yards.
• Egg or mid-length (6'6"–7'6"): ~2.5 yd per layer. Figure 8 yards for a three-layer lam.
• Longer mid-length (7'6"+): ~3 yd per layer. Plan on 10 yards.
• Repairs & patches: 4 yards covers a lot of ding work and small panel jobs.

When in doubt, order a little long. E-Glass cuts and stores easily, and running short mid-lam is a bad afternoon.

Is 30" the right width for my board?
30" suits boards roughly 21" to 23" wide — fishes, eggs, hybrids and mid-lengths. For a standard shortboard under 21", our 27" cloth is more economical. For longboards and gliders, step up to 38".
