Z-Seal EPS Blank Primer & Filler

Achieve a professional finish on your EPS builds with Z-Seal. This specialized primer is designed specifically to seal the open-cell structure of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) blanks prior to glassing. By creating a smooth, non-porous barrier, Z-Seal prevents excessive resin absorption and ensures your color work stays crisp and vibrant.

Z-Seal is the ideal solution for filling small gouges or voids left behind during the shaping process. Once applied, it provides a superior surface for airbrushing and other detailed color applications, preventing the "bleeding" often associated with raw EPS foam.

Application Instructions:

• Mixing: Mix the Z-Seal concentrate with distilled water until it reaches a toothpaste-like consistency. Note: Distilled water is critical to prevent discoloration from mineral deposits.
• Application: Use a squeegee to spread the paste evenly over the shaped blank.
• Drying: Allow to dry completely. Once cured, it can be lightly sanded with fine-grit sandpaper for an ultra-smooth finish.

• Protect Your Stringer: It is highly recommended to tape off the stringer before application to ensure maximum resin and fiberglass adhesion during the glassing phase.
• Resin Savings: Sealing your blank with Z-Seal reduces "drainage," meaning you'll use less resin during your lamination and achieve a better strength-to-weight ratio.
