Brian Wright has lived a life shaped by the ocean. His surfing journey began on the beaches of Long Beach, New York, where cold-water swells and Atlantic grit built the foundation of his passion. That passion followed him across the country and around the world through 21 years of service in the United States Coast Guard—a career as an MK1 that stationed him in some of the most iconic surf regions on the planet.

From Costa Rica, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest to St. Croix, Puerto Rico, and the East Coast, Brian explored, learned, and refined his craft, developing a deep appreciation for global surf culture and maritime engineering.

One Revolver Surfboards began in a Southern California garage, where Brian—entirely self-taught—started shaping custom boards for himself, friends, and deployed Coast Guard members. Over time, demand grew, skills sharpened, and One Revolver evolved into a premier **veteran-owned surfboard brand** built on craftsmanship, accessibility, and authentic surf culture.
