Brian Wright has lived a life shaped by the ocean. His surfing journey began on the beaches of Long Beach, New York, where cold-water swells and Atlantic grit built the foundation of his passion. That passion followed him across the country and around the world through 20+ years of service in the United States Coast Guard—a career that stationed him in some of the most iconic surf regions on the planet.
From Costa Rica, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest to St. Croix, Puerto Rico, and the East Coast, Brian explored, learned, refined his craft, and developed a deep appreciation for surf culture everywhere he served.
One Revolver Surfboards began in a Southern California garage, where Brian—entirely self-taught—started shaping custom boards for himself, friends, and deployed Coast Guard members. Over time, demand grew, skills sharpened, and One Revolver evolved into a brand built on craftsmanship, accessibility, and authentic surf culture.
Today, Brian hand-shapes boards for surfers of all backgrounds—from total beginners to seasoned chargers—while continuing his mission of supporting active-duty service members and veterans with affordable, performance-driven surfboards.

Every One Revolver board begins with Brian’s hands. Each shape is personally designed, hand-foiled, and fine-tuned by Brian before heading to glassing. To keep up with growing demand and ensure faster turnaround times without compromising quality, Brian partners with the industry-leading team at Pure Glass Inc. in Costa Mesa — one of the most respected glass shops in California. Their expert laminators and finishers bring every board to life with precision, durability, and world-class craftsmanship.
